Farmington Hills, MI (January 30, 2007)--- Do you miss the days you spent with friends and family at the local pool? Has it been years since you were last in the water? The Botsford Center for Health Improvement (BCHI) can help you ease back into the water and introduce you to new friends with their water activities.
On February 1, BCHI will open the aquatics area of the medically based fitness facility located in Novi. The aquatics space has over 4,000 square feet with both a lap and warm therapy pool and sauna. A variety of aquatic classes from high-energy cardiovascular training to therapeutic arthritic relief are part of an all-inclusive membership and will be offered beginning February 12. Aquatic personal training and private as well as group swim lessons for adults and children will also be available for a fee beginning in March. Monica Pagels, BCHI Manager, says, “Aquatic classes are perfect for people of all ages and health concerns. They allow you to get fit, stay fit and can also relieve pain from arthritis or other chronic pain conditions.”
BCHI is the first medical model fitness center in Metro Detroit. More than a health club, BCHI offers a “medical model” approach to all of its programs, integrating fitness, lifestyle and behavior management with medical and clinical practices.
