Botsford Emergency Department at the Top in the Standings

Farmington Hills, Mich., August 18, 2006 – The Botsford Emergency Department staff has hit the equivalent of a home run in the hotly contested hospital customer service arena with patient satisfaction survey scores that placed the department in the top 99th percentile of emergency departments nationwide.

Patient satisfaction survey results for the two-week period July 16 through 29, compiled by Press Ganey, a national company that performs surveys and analysis of patient satisfaction levels for thousands of hospitals across the country, were the best that the department has achieved to date.

“This is extraordinary performance,” said Paul LaCasse, D. O., Botsford General Hospital President and CEO and an emergency medicine physician himself. “The Emergency Department staff, physicians and management deserve special recognition for this level of performance. We can truly call ourselves the 'best in class' compared to southeastern Michigan hospital emergency departments.”
