Farmington Hills, Mich., May 11, 2006 – The Botsford Commons Senior Community will celebrate National Nursing Home Week 2006 by recognizing and honoring the 40 veterans who are now residents of Botsford Commons.
The event will take place Monday, May 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the flagpole in the Mlynarek Community Gardens. If case of rain, the event will be held indoors.
Program highlights include the presentation of ribbons to those residents who served in the Armed Forces by members of a local chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and an ROTC Color Guard formation. State government officials will present a certificate to each of the veterans. Governor Jennifer Granholm’s Nursing Home Week Proclamation will be read by State Senator Gilda Jacobs.
Botsford Commons Senior Community is a not-for-profit residential community designed for older adults.
