Farmington Hills, MI (February 7, 2006)--- Sanford Vieder, D.O. has been named Chief of Staff at Botsford General Hospital. Dr. Vieder’s responsibilities will include maintaining communications between the medical staff and serving as President of the hospital’s Executive Committee. Dr. Vieder, a graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, officially began his career at Botsford with his internship in 1988, although he originally arrived as a third year medical student in 1986. Dr. Vieder is currently a teaching physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine and is also a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Michigan State University. He is the Program Director of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program and also serves as the EMS Medical Director for the municipalities of Farmington, Farmington Hills, Northville and Redford Townships in addition to Community EMS. Dr. Vieder resides in West Bloomfield with his wife, Carol and three children, Brandon, Alex and Nikolas.
